Democrats are turning Title IX against women?
The Biden administration and Democrats across the country are redefining a word many experts are afraid to define-women. This redefinition nullifying the rights of biological women.
January 20, 2021, Executive Order states that based on the Supreme Court’s ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County (2020) 140 S. Ct. 1731, Title VII’s prohibition on discrimination “because of . . . sex” covered discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation, and similarly, other laws that prohibit sex discrimination — including Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and its implementing regulations — also prohibited discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation as long as the laws did not contain “sufficient indications to the contrary.”
School boards across the country, including Columbus City schools in Ohio, are calling anyone who disagrees with males participating in female sports insensitive or inhumane amongst many other extremely defamatory words. The Ohio board of Education has mentioned the possibility of not allowing males to compete with females.
The Columbus City schools reacted:
I thought it was outrageous,” said Eric Brown, school board member.
“Absolutely disgusting,” said President Adair.
Title IX gives women athletes the right to equal opportunity in sports in educational institutions that receive federal funds, from elementary schools to colleges and universities.
The Department of Education signaled its rule change as far back as June 2021 with a Federal Notice of Interpretation of Title IX. It indicated that—based on the Supreme Court’s ruling in Bostock v. Clayton County in 2020—sex discrimination would be interpreted within Title IX to also include discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is a federal law that states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." Notice, it doesn't say allow males to participate with or as females.
Recently Democrats reacted to Governor DeSantis of Florida signed a bill into law dealing with transgender athletes ..
"Let’s be very clear: Gov. DeSantis and the GOP are attacking trans kids on the first day of Pride Month to solve a problem that doesn’t exist,”House Minority Co-Leader Bobby Dubose said. “This is part of a wave of hundreds of anti-LGBTQ bills introduced nationwide as part of their culture war agenda. This law is mean-spirited, divisive, and could cost Floridians millions of dollars in both economic damage and lawsuits. Florida’s kids didn’t need this.”
The Karolinska Institute in 2019 found that even puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones do not diminish the benefits of male athlete’s natural testosterone. Bone density remains a huge mail advantage even after testosterone levels are lowered.
The Irony
More than a half century after its enactment, Title IX, the federal law that bars discrimination against women in education and forced a leveling of the playing field on campus, is now being used to allow biological men to participate in women's sports.
