Elon Musk Mocks Legacy Media Calling Twitter Dead!

The caption says it all and  Elon Musk has the platform to call it out. 

Here's what we know.

The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism’s found trust in the media has improved in a number of nations and globally, except in the United States.  Interest in news has fallen sharply in the United States following the "most secure election ever" or the election of President Biden, especially with right-leaning groups.

The Reuters report found the already untrusted legacy media loss another 11 percentage points in interest to watch in the United States, to 55 per Finland, who have billboards poking fun of the lack of effectiveness of masks, remains the country with the highest levels of overall trust (65%), and the USA now has the lowest levels (29%) in the survey.

Why do Fins trust the media? True their media is not so polarized. but, is that the goal of society to be in unison on all issues?  Is the trust for the wrong reasons?  

One explanation for Finland's media trust is that journalists take pride in their independence.

On the flip side, it the media trust in Finland  because most cities only have one daily newspaper in circulation.  In other words, since 4 companies bring in 90% of the media revenue, the media is in lock-step. 

The LA Times OP-Ed quote that seems to be the Left's arguing against free speech Musk celebrates:

"The 1st Amendment prevents the government from suppressing most forms of disinformation because the Supreme Court has recognized that if permitted to regulate such speech, authorities would not be able to resist the temptation to use that power in self-serving ways, to silence critics and repress dissent." -SUZANNE NOSSEL

Ironically Suzanne NOSSEL is the author of Dare to Speak: Defending Free Speech for All but does not see the irony in suggesting Musk limit free speech?  Musk was the Left's darling for his Tesla electric car innovations and just yesterday tweeted about Tesla's state-of-the-art electric semi- truck that drives an incredible 500 miles per charge.  

Musk brought to the attention Democrats silencing free speech on Twitter, in particular news that arguably swung the 2020 election in Joe Biden's favor, the suppression of Hunter Biden laptop. This story was dismissed by the legacy media although The New York Post's piece was called fake news, recently CBS and other outlets have admitted to the Post's story about the corrupt, deviant, severely compromised, likely illegal and election changing  information found on the laptop to be true.   

Jack Windsor, an independent journalist in Ohio (The Ohio Press Network), said this about Musk's unmasking of Twitter's Hunter and Joe Biden censorship: 

"During the 2020 election Twitter acted largely on behalf of Democrats...Facts being released in the Twitter Files seem to prove that government actors used a private entity (Twitter) to silence the competition. In doing so, the company will claim it acted as a private entity.

Collusion with the government to censor free speech promised under the First Amendment cannot be tolerated. In fact, under Federal law government workers violating individual liberties is a crime and sovereign immunity does not and should not apply. 

People need to go to jail."

Elon Musk has exposed the media hypocrisy and reality of why the American media needs to be about Free speech not censorship.
