DEI Gets Personal

Diversity is now code language for  something much larger.  DEI is controversial for good reasons.

Have a supreme court struck down affirmative action giving racial preferences to non Whites and Asians, Candice Owens was elated, saying,  " This is a MAJOR WIN in the strive for racial equality, removing the bigotry of low expectations against black students, while permitting Asian and white Americans an EQUAL chance to be rewarded for their hard work. RACE should never be a factor in deciding whether or not you are qualified for anything."

Asians and White students ypically fair better on standardized tests, So waving these assessments as part of the selection of scholarship and student acceptance effectively punishes the hard work these groups have put in.

A new Texas law effects all state-funded colleges and universities in Texas.  The law requires colleges and universities to close their diversity, equity and inclusion offices or not obtain stain funding.  

Boeing DEI

  • In the first week of 2024, a Boeing 737 Max 9 passenger jet lost a rear door plug in midflight
  • a lawsuit alleges "excessive amount of defects" 
  •  Boeing supplier manufacturing defects led to the grounding of dozens of Boeing planes

According to the White Men's Leadership Study, a study of white men and DEI, nearly 70% report feeling “forgotten” by diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.  

Asian American students were 28% less likely to get into selective U.S. colleges than white Americans with similar test scores, grade-point averages and extracurricular activities, a new working paper suggests. Getting personal ...

My son has 15 minute presentation on what cultural diversity means to him.  Does he give the professor what the professor wants to hear or tell the reality of what he know by experience?

Diversity is a huge euphemism in reality.  People bring in diverse values that have zero to do with skin color or sexual identity or orientation.  But look no further than the Biden administration picks For cabinet and judicial appointees to understand the real purpose and meaning to the word diversity Being pushed by universities and the elites.

Boeing is a Perfect example of what goes wrong when we force particular diversity that is not based on merit.  Hopefully we can redirect this ship as soon as possible with diversity that comes from each of us being judged on the content of our character and not on the color of our skin or other superficial characteristics.
