HARVEST PREP BASEBALL WINS THEIR FIRST GAME IN 9 YEARS!!!!!!
Zach Ullom took over the Harvest Preparatory School's baseball team knowing the tall task of taking over a team has not won a game in 9 seasons. Many might think he was crazy to leave coaching in the college ranks to take over a team that has been a team opponents look forward to padding their stats against. After every game coach Ullom and his assistant coach Jacob Hymrod is told by their opposition's coaches how improved the team is. Today, the proof was in the pudding. In 2013, Harvest Prep made national news by losing to Licking Heights 65-0. And the game ended after just three innings due to a lack of sunlight. Zach Ullom @ZachUllom · 59m Wow!! I’m so proud of these young men for putting in the work every day to achieve this. A team win, and a huge step for this program, so proud. Go Warriors!!! A decade in the waiting. @HPBaseball2024 @HPSWarriors Quote Harvest Prep Baseball @HPBaseball2024 · 1h First Program win in over 9 years!! 7-3 win!! @M...
i believe that home schooling has its pros and cons. i personally wouldnt do it because i believe that children should be given the chance to develop social skills.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion i cant really back up the people bashing random public schools because one all schools are going to have ups and downs. Im sure that not all public schools are negative or unsafe. I believe it comes down to the best schooling option for the particular family.-DreSaun
ReplyDeletei agree that public schools have turned evil and you should get out now. and on the home schooling side i believe that kids should get out and socialize and meet new people. - emmanuel mullens
ReplyDeleteAs many people have stated how "evil" public schools are and from a religious stand point I could see how you assume they're "evil" because they are't teaching the Word of God but, no person has ever been able to give an actually give reason as to why they're evil. Not that I think public schools are perfect I'm not preaching that but, people make it seem like ever public school is the bottom of the barrel. There are some good ones out there you just don't hear about them, the only ones that are hard about are the bad ones. Which is just the world we live in where the bad is shown off more than the good. - Amari Winston
ReplyDeleteHome school is good and all but you need to get out to the world. You can explore so much and develop communication skills and social skills. -Malik R
ReplyDeletethe lady that was speaking was being honest . parents dont know what happens at school . parents should choose wisely on where their kids go to school. every parent wants their kid to be safe -unique
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I feel as if public schools do have their ups and downs. In the argument I found some areas that she spoke against I agreed with like on how these days schools are taking God out the schools and on the evilness in the school.- amari rumph
ReplyDeleteshe has a valid point but also i feel like everyone is not private school material. most private schools are religious whether its christian , catholic and etc. lots of people don't believe in certain beliefs or just simply aren't religious all together. but i understand her point because some public school environments can be toxic and also have bad educations.
ReplyDeletealexia hall^
Deleteshe has a point when it comes to sending your child to a bad religious school because it defeats the purpose of sending your child to school to learn about God and they are just being further corrupted. Every parent believes that they know where their children and what happens around them but they really don't. parents should take guided tours of the schools they think about sending their kids to.
ReplyDeletebrianna jones
DeleteI would research the school ( public or private) to see if its good or bad and if I send a kid to a school I don't want it to be bad and corrupt the kid.
ReplyDeleteMother Miriam is right in a way, public schools doesn't teach about God and some Catholic schools are bad at teaching about God. She talks about home schooling being a better option, and I could understand why she thinks that because public schools can cause a big problem for parents children, such as bullying. Home schooling gives you more educational freedom and flexibility, it also tend to perform better standardized tests. Personally, I couldn't see myself being in home school, because I've been in public and private schools my whole life.
ReplyDeleteShe has some very good points about how public schools and even Catholic schools are feeding students lies. The fact that she even pointed out Catholic schools made it more creditable because it shows that even some of the schools that we choose can feed us lies.
ReplyDelete-Jose
The nun talked about how public schools are are corrupted and that children shouldn’t be sent there, which I see the reasoning behind. She also said she thinks they should either be sent to religious schooling or be homeschooled. Her reasoning for this was that you’re responsible for your child and what they learn, which I agree with as well. I think once she got into the specifics of who should teach teach the child that’s where she lost me. (personally I wouldn’t homeschool my child because I intend of having a career and I want to give them the chance to have real social skills)
ReplyDelete-McKenzie
I agree with her about getting children out of public school but i don't agree with home school being the answer. Although home schooling provides a child the best learning environment it does not teach a child socialization skills mainly commnication skills because of lack of socialization the child could become an outcast and potentially ruin his future. I do agree children should go to good catholic schools or a school that teaches kids morals, that in my opinion is the best option.-Lemuel
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion I feel like she missed out on very critical details. I agree with some of her arguments about the public schools being corrupt but to some extent not everybody has the opportunity to homeschool their children and later on down the road it wouldn't benefit their child with the lack of social skills and daily activities with other students.
ReplyDeletenot all public school are bad, you would have to do your research on it. but they don't provide an atmosphere like a christian school though so it all depends on your view on it. -iyanah
ReplyDeleteI agree with some parts of the video but you can not have a child learn under the way that their parents want them to. If you force a person to learn under a way that they are uncomfortable with then they will not be learning as much as others. The child should be put in a position where they have many choices to choose from when it comes to education. If their parents think that their choice wasn't good enough then they can put some enforcement into the choosing of their child's education.

From my perspective home schooling is a better route than public schools. For example, there are many ways public schools try to de-rail a student academic success. You got schools teaching student to a certain standard for example and then you got teacher being lenient towards student grades. Home schooling can keep a child in a comfortable environment and allows him to be free of distracting and lets them have the ability to thrive. There are cons though like poor communication skills and the fear of falling behind.- Jalen D
ReplyDeletesome Public schools may be evil or not but being home schooled would make you not socially engaged because you probably wont be able to talk to anyone
ReplyDeleteI feel that home schooling deprives the student on of a lot of experiences. For example students who do home-schooling lacks social skills , which is needed to make new friends and go to job interviews. -Christian Dowdy
ReplyDeletei agree with her that really any school could be bad no matter if its public or private but i don't believe that everyone should be home schooled because you would have to be qualified to teach and that could take away from their job or the way they make money.I think that if you really want your kid to go to a good school all you have to do is do extensive research and see what school fits your child's needs.-phil
ReplyDeletei agree with what shes saying because just because its a public school does not mean that all christian/catholic are better than them any school can be evil, also i think its is up to parent to inform there kids about there religion but not 100% there responsibility, the kids need to put forth effort too onh- shaun goines
ReplyDeletei feel like some schools are evil but i can agree there is nothing more important than a parent being there with there child is very important but i think if everybody was home school how would people build relationships with other people but i do agree that some parents should make it mandatory about being in child life while growing up other than going to sum bad public schools and getting that evil influencing you
ReplyDeleteandre stephens^^^^^
DeleteIt all depends on who the kid is if they can work at an public school or if they work better being home schooled. Public, catholic schools could be corrupt but that's because their only in it for the money there isn't a lot of schools out there that actually cares about a kids education. - Josiah
ReplyDeleteI understand where she is coming from but I don't believe that all public schools are "evil" .There are some bad schools but there are a good amount of them that are good. I think that some people don't want to go to a catholic or christian schools because they don't believe some things that they are teaching. Some people think that the public schools are bad because they don't teach the same things. I don't like the idea of home school because i think it isolates the kids and they don't develop social skills but do understand why people think that it is a better route. There are pros and cons to all schooling but it all depends on the student because people learn differently and in different environments. - Jasmine F
ReplyDeleteI honestly am not mad at her persuasive video although I do disagree in some areas. Home schooling definitely has its advantages and disadvantages. Home schooling may make kids better school wise but as a person i dont think they would know how to adapt to the world. - Rio Baby
ReplyDeleteI think homeschooling is a better choice than sending your kids to any school with poor ratings. It depends on the family circumstance. If your mother is illiterate ad father is not that bright then any public school would be a better choice than being home schooled. All public schools aren't bad and i do agree that if the catholic school is bad than homeschooling would be better. I also don't think the schools itself are evil it but the people who attend the schools can make it appear evil. You should research on the school before sending your child there. -Kyla
ReplyDeletePublic schools is needed for the child social skills for his future .For home school kids do better on their tests and more of the work . For home schooling there is no distractions, which is a better environment so he doesn't get off task. For the child social skills to keep improving while being home schooled is to have the child to activities. For christian schools can be corrupt just like public schools, I would just check the school out in everything they do. -Deandre
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on this lady speaking about our schools k -12 saying it is better to get less of an education in a better enviornment compared to getting a better education in a terrible enviornment. What i mean by that is when the nun had explained that evil is in the schools and brought up the book ''get out now.'' Meaning there's no saving the public schools so be very cautious in where you put your children and if you can place your child in home school then go for it. Home schooling isn't a bad idea either because parents know what you are like and how your learn and parents are already your greatest teachers anyway.
ReplyDeletesilvanus
In my personal opinion I agree with this video. This nun is speaking out against Public Schools and Catholic Schools and the advanced results of Home Schooling. Parents should be more involved in the Schooling of their children and limit the learning of evil in your children's educations. - Tk
ReplyDeleteit is a lot for her as a nun to say to pull your kids out of some of the catholic schools. It makes sense to get your kids out of some of these "evil schools". I get what shes saying but I dont all the way support homeschooling. Homeschooling has the tendency to make the kids lose social skills and lets them lose certain life experiences. -kennedy p
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, any method of education has some type of negative impact on students of any grade level. Public schools are the worst option out of all the schools if you are concerned with your child becoming corrupt or being in an unsafe environment. Private school is a better option than public schools, although private schools have their own toxic secrets they hide from governments just like public schools. Home school may ensure a safe environment for your child and an efficient way of learning, but it negates the opportunity for them to develop social skills with other students. In conclusion, you should put your child in any type of educative system regardless because every system has positive and negatives. - Jeremiah G
ReplyDeleteI do believe that public school is evil. But I also believe having social skills is a vital skill to have in order to be successful in society and I don't think home school properly supplies kids with that skill. You need social skills for interviews, networking and maintaining friendships and relationships with family so you will always have the strong support system that was fortified with the social skills. I don't hate or bash anyone who is in homeschooling I just know I wouldn't work well in that environment. - Destinee Powell
ReplyDeleteI agree with Destinee. She is right public school is evil. The environment in public school is bad.-Tatiana
